Lisa - Pennsylvania 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. (Monday)

My son doesn't want me to lose weight. My son doesn't want me to walk. He told me so.

The other day we were at the playground.

"Mommy needs to walk. Mommy needs to lose weight. Don't you want mommy to lose weight?"

"No!" he declared and remained glued to the swing he was on.

So I walked the playground, the grounds by the school we were at and kept an eye on him while I became fascinated with a tree and the shapes and patterns in it's bark.

Then there was a single leaf on a tree that had already changed color:

And my kid, climbing the playground equipment on his way to the slide.

But over all, I missed out on my walk this week and getting him to go for a walk with me again was a real trial all week. So tonight...tonight..I am determined to walk! Whether he wants to or not! Pray for me!

Lisa,
Any kind of walking is good walk. As long as your body is moving there will always be some benefit:)
Good Luck on your walk tonight!
Stay safe!

Lisa, I knew you'd make it! I will say a prayer for you that you can walk from hubby's tonight! Will he go with you?

I love your dialogue exercise! I can hear it now...

I have similar conversations with Nicholas. I say, "Ready to go for a walk today?" I get back, "Park?" My response, "Yes, walk!" I think Nicholas may still buy that one for a while. ;)

Jonathan looks like he's having fun while Mommy checks out the tree. LOL
