Jacque - Pueblo, CO - 3-4pm

I have taken a LONG break from all things computer related really. So I'm finally back in the mode!

Today I took advantage of our 50 degree weather and went for a walk at "Mineral Palace Park" here in town. (It's a really cute little park, near downtown.) Unfortunately, (or fortunately) 1/2 the photos that turned out were of my little girl!

But it felt so great to get out for a walk again!

Jac - Colorado, Saturday 12:30-3:30pm

I've been missing my walks lately *gasp* because we had a touch of the flu (not H1N1) in our house, and then I was just lazy! But yesterday, I got back to exercising! My little girl and I walked 3.5 miles to watch the Annual Coffin Races here in town! I didn't snap many pictures on the walk there, or the walk back (another 3.5!) But, I did get some excellent shots at the races, so I thought I'd share those! That counts, right?

It was the perfect day for an outdoor festival (and a nice long walk, straight up a hill!) sunny and warm. (Since we had snow earlier this week, that's a great surprise!) And there were so many awesome costumes! My little girl loved all the puppies in costume (which I missed shooting photos of because I was too busy laughign at my daughter!) and there was even a Hispanic Elvis impersonator!! (My photos of him didn't turn out either *sad* )

Jac - Nebraska 7:15 - 8:00 pm

As I mentioned last time I posted here, my daughter and I are visiting family in Nebraska for the week! Today we visited my little sister on her college campus!

As we set out, I asked for my sister and daughter to pose for me :) (She was mortified that I was stalking her around campus with my big camera taking photos like a "tourist"!!)

After our quick photo session we set off to the opposit end of campus for the Music Building. (My sister is a music education major, so this was where she spends most of her time!) It was a great walk across campus, and I actually got a workout climbing stairs while my sister and daughter took the elevator!

However, by the time our tour of the building was done, the sun was pretty well set for the evening. Sunsets make for some of my favorite photo opportunities, so I had yet another chance to embarrass her while we made our way back to her dorm!

Thanks for checking out my pictures, if you'd like to see them larger you can just click on the collage!
I had a great walk this evening, and I hope you all got a great walk in today!

Jac - Nebraska 4:30 - 5:00

We are in Nebraska for the next week, visiting both my parents and my husbands parents! So today's walk was around my in-law's property. Lots of flowers, although it's quickly turning to fall around here! I tried to capture as much color as I could.

They are also very lucky to live right on the edge of town with a large lot and the neighbors behind them are outside of city limits, so there are a few fun animals! (Although once we got near the big guys, my little girl didn't want to leave! She wanted to keep petting the horses!)

Jac, Manitou Springs, CO - 2:30 - 3:30 pm

I'm a day late in posting these, my husband is an over the road truck driver and yesterday was his last day at home for the month. And for his last day, we took a walk/hike through Garden of the Gods in Manitou Springs, CO! (I couldn't be more excited that my very first Creatively Fit post comes from such a beautiful place!)

For Photo Walk 1

We had an awesome walk/hike! I stuck my little girl in my baby backpack (carrier) and off we went. An added 30 lbs made the hike a bit more of a workout for me, but kept my hands free to snap some awesome photos! (The bottom right in the photo above is Pike's Peak through the "Window" of the "Siamese Twins" formation.)
