Tuesday, 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.
The first was on Tuesday night after a horrific behavior day for my almost 3-year old. After a long period of disobedience from him we took an impromptu walk around the block to the high school across the street (down and across the street actually).
We walked around the school grounds and then down to the football/soccer field where a soccer game was ongoing. Jonathan's behavior here continued to be, well, disappointing as he tried to climb under the legs of various spectators in the bleachers. I was humiliated, even though some of the spectators thought it was funny. What I didn't think was funny that Jonathan did not listen to me at all....the same way he had not listened to his babysitter (and his dad) all day. It was just a frustrating day for us. (He's usually very good).
I finally dragged him from the school grounds and ended up carrying my 25 plus pound child about a half mile home. I say carrying that kid for so far counts for extra calorie burning.
Wednesday, 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.
The next walk was Wednesday night and again was on school grounds, but this time the elementary school. It started as a playground trip that developed into a walk when I suggested we walk across a couple fields to watch the football team practice.
It had been raining and one trip down the slide left Jonathan's pants a mess. Because of the nasty weather, I didn't get very many photos on this walk. I did get this ball stuck in a tree. . . kind of odd.
Jonathan enjoyed the walk, despite trying to steal the football a couple of times and then throwing himself in some dirt and covering his pants in mud. We walked around the middle school and back to our car and while it wasn't the longest walk it was a bit of a workout. Plus, at least I was walking!
As usual, my regular blog is at Boondock Ramblings. Feel free to stop by anytime.

I love the ball in the tree! Your kid is a cutie, however I maybe shouldnt say that as you are so very annoyed ;-))) Yepp, you seem to get into Autumn, Munich is follow head now.
Glad you got some walking time in! Toddlers can be a handful but they are precious! My kids kept me in shape, now I have to create my own exercise routine i.e. creatively fit, to stay in shape.:) Enjoy your time together, it's fleeting.
P.S. When you add your labels at the end of the post only put Lisa - Pennsylvania otherwise we have mud, and football practice as part of the CF team:)
Thanks,
Cindy
I'm with you, Lisa! I say we invent a new workout. We'll call it the toddler-tow! I wrote a little about the same thing in today's post.
They really are lucky they are so adorable, aren't they? Otherwise...well, you know...
I love your flower and berry photos today. Very colorful. I love Jonathan too! And, you should print your post and tuck it away for his future...
Keep walking!! Hugs from one toddler mom to another...Hayley
I just stumbled upon this blog... I love this idea! I'm in PA too, outside of Philadelphia.
