Cindy - Florida- Friday 6:30-7:05 PM

Tonight's walk was all about the setting sun. It was 6:30 and I decided I would walk home from my son's football practice in order to get in my walk for the day. The sun was the dominant theme this evening. I noticed that at this hour my shadow was super long. I couldn't believe how far it stretched across the field and road. My shadow had to be about 40 feet long!

This collage also highlights the warm September sun.
I found some cool metal to contrast the warm sun.
The locks and metal reminded me of my day at the Wildlife Refuge, where I took baby squirrel Fred today. I learned that Fred has mange.:( They will nurse him back to health and hopefully release him when he is ready. I walked around to see the other animals that were being cared for. It was interesting to see a possum up close during the day. Can you tell I enjoyed taking pictures of this turtle too?

What did you see on your walk today?
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cindy

I LOVE your photos of the sunset, and the collage you made of you taking photos!

I'm so jealous of the beautiful plants in Florida! (I love the mountains, but sometimes I just would kill for bright sunny skies and palm trees!)

Great sunflare this evening! And, I recognize that shadow standing beside you!! Love the hip-action in one of your shadow shots! Fun!

You know I am wild about the turtle shot. Lucky duck! The possum gave me shivers...we get to see too many of those in our back yard (walking along the fence). You would think we three dogs (and a lesson or two) they would keep away...but they don't.

Great shots today! Funny that you posted the lock...yours looks like it is swinging. :)

Oh I love these sunsets pic`s. And I do love turtles. Great shots, I repeat myself like a broken CD: you have such an eye for detail.

I should have walked a little further, I would have bumped into you. I needed my walk last night. Tommy is driving me nuts. I will fill you in when we get together. I am free this week, no more PT. The sun setting was very photogenic this evening. I must have taken 50 pictures. You know I am a sucker for animals, I would have taken the Owl and Iguana home with me. Great shots of the metal, and shadows. I didn't think to turn around and look at my shadow. I would have been tall and thin....

I walked nowhere! Not today anyhow. HOpefully it won't rain so much tomorrow and I can walk a little more! Love your photos!
