Mary - Indiana - 7:45 to 8:15 Yesterday Evening

Hi! My name is Mary. I live in the Northernmost part of Indiana, right on the tip of Lake Michigan. I've recently retired and am counting on walking to stay healthy, active and a lot slimmer (and I have a long way to go for that part). I generally walk twice a day - once some time during the day and once late in the cooler evening with my husband. I like to walk at a watershed park here in town or at the Indiana Dunes State Park; however, because of this CreativelyFit project, I will try to expand my horizons. I'm a habitual picture taker but I definitely need to work on quality and creativity so this is perfect for me.

Thanks to Hayley for inviting me and I promise in the future to try to post on the day of my walk instead of the next day. Yesterday as I walked and photographed I did it with this blog in mind and some of the pictures I wouldn't be able to re-create on another day so I'm anxious to include them.

The first pictures were from the evening walk where the light transformed some everyday scenes into textures and reflections:

During my day journey yesterday, I photographed the people/doggie fountain and the doggie who didn't care to use it. His owner had to give him water from her hand and then Tracy (the doggie) seemed to laugh about it and then pose for my camera.

My goals will include walking earlier, varying my subjects, and maybe learning how to do a collage. Thanks, Hayley, for the invite. I think you're a wonderful person and a gifted blogger and photographer.

Mary,
Welcome to the Cretively Fit Team!! It's so nice to meet you! Two times a day, wow! You are ambitious. It will be fun to see the different effect of the sunlight at different times of day.
Great pictures!
We do collages using picasa. You can google picasa. If you download it to your computer it will upload all of your pictures. Then you can edit, collage and upload to the blog, very easy:)
Have a great day!
See ya tomorrow:)

Hi Mary! Nice to "meet" you! The dog story is so funny! It reminds me of my older son (he's 5), who sometimes gets upset because I gave him the "wrong" cup/plate/spoon/etc. - You know, because I'm a mind reader and I'm deliberately giving him a blue spoon instead of an orange one! ;) The water photos are gorgeous - I look forward to seeing more!

Mary! I'm so excited that you are joining us! These are wonderful photos. I have never seen a doggie fountain before. That's terrific! Your reflection photo is magnificent. I can't wait to see all of the photos we collect.

If you have any difficulty with Picassa, let us know. Cindy got me hooked and it works so quickly and effectively.

Hugs to you! See you tomorrow!
