Lisa -- Pennsylvania 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Copper (also known at Boondock Ramblings as Crazy Dog) seemed very protective of Jonathan on Sunday, or maybe it was the other way around. I'm not sure if Jonathan was following Copper all afternoon, or if Copper was following Jonathan. Either way, I was following both of them to be sure neither ran in front of the riding mower Dad was using to mow my parents large lawn and became part of the grass clippings.

It was my workout and walk for the day.

Copper spent a good portion of the afternoon chasing Dad on the mower and then running away from it, while checking back with Jonathan and I, I guess to be sure we were safe from the raging lawn-chopping monster.

Jonathan spent most of the afternoon watching over "Bo-Bo" -- his nickname for Copper, while also pretending the lawn mower was indeed a monster.

"Where Bo-Bo?" he asked me a hundred times an hour all afternoon.

Bo-Bo, surprisingly, wasn't far away and hadn't taken off like he usually does when he is released from his leash at my parent's house in the country.

In fact, Bo-Bo was a delight and a welcome guest on my lap during the ride home, where he snoozed while the toddler snored in the back seat, wiped out from a very long day of playing, giggling, and chasing.

Unfortunately, he woke up again later, but that is another story for another day.

It looks like you had a great day in the country! I love the expansive green lawn. It makes me want to run and do cartwheels!

These pictures are so fun! I think all little boys love lawnmowers... at least, until mowing becomes their responsibility! :)
