O'kay so I finally got motivated and laced up my running shoes. I am new to this so I wasn't sure what I was going to take pictures of. I have been inactive for about nine months so I started slow, only a little over 2 miles. I need to get a little more creative, but I was focusing on just surviving this first time out.
Like I said, I live in a rural community. These horses are right on the edge of town.

This stop sign was my first goal marker. I wanted to get out to it and then back to my house.

My next goal. . .turning this corner and adding a couple more miles.

Hey Amy! Welcome to the team!
I love the idea you gave me of taking a shot of your "goal." If our walking location is unchanging, as mine can be, having a "goal" shot would be really neat. We could take different angles, etc. See how wonderful it is when we have someone new join us!
I love the wide, open space of your last shot. I'd love to see it at different times of the day.
I've added your label to your post. Be sure to do this each time so your walks are tracked. ;)
Welcome! Welcome!
Hi Amy
I am a newbie too. Isn't this a great idea for a blog. I love that last picture. It looks like South Dakota goes on forever. I look forward to seeing more.
Amy,
Welcome aboard! I'm so glad you will be joining us!
Wide open spaces! Beautiful! It is so exciting that people from all over the globe are joining us.
I look forward to becoming more acquainted with the South Dakota landscape. It look breathtaking!
As Hayley mentioned, if you put Amy - South Dakota in the label box at the end of your post, all of your posts will be grouped together for easy viewing:)(If you forget, don't worry we'll take care of it)
Thank you so much for joining Creatively Fit!
Cindy
